The project features a memory care addition to an existing assisted living community. The addition has two stories and includes residential rooms, ancillary office space, an activity room, a commercial kitchen, a dining room, and a basement with storage space. The addition of an atrium space brings a mix of innovation and elegance to the building.
The memory care addition follows the same 1920's California Tuscan style and utilizes the same materials as the existing building so that it blends seamlessly. Exterior windows are adorned with intricate corbels and decorative railings to add thoughtful details to the the design.
The existing rear garden was enclosed and remodeled into an atrium-like space with high vaulted ceilings, skylights, and an abundance of natural light. Both dining and living areas are located in this space, adjacent to an outdoor patio, making it a great place for residents to socialize, dine, and relax while enjoying the natural light.
