Part of a major CCRC expansion, the aquatic and fitness center at La Posada provides additional amenities for its residents to promote healthy, active aging. These amenities include a new indoor pool and spa, fitness gym with an aerobics room, physical therapy center, and wellness clinic.
The aquatic & fitness center was designed with deep overhangs and other passive environmental design features, providing cool spaces outside the building for users to enjoy. The architecture of the building is contemporary with a twist on territorial style.
The pool features a ramp into the water for swimmers needing a gentle entry, and the gym offers a variety of exercise equipment. Amenities of the center are designed around a kinetic water sculpture designed by a local Tucson artisan. The lobby where the sculpture resides serves as a meeting place for residents and is adorned with clerestory windows, allowing natural light to fill the space.
