Country Crest is the first cluster design and household model skilled nursing facility in California. This project is an example of a collaboration between OSHPD, CDPH, and the developer to create a successful alternative design.
Country Crest is a one-story, three-household building designed with a residential image. Units open to small common living areas such as a resident kitchen for meals, snacks, and demonstration cooking classes. The great room is a larger gathering space designed to accommodate more residents at a time.
An aviary is located off the main entrance to the building and provides the lobby and great room with an abundance of natural light. Residents and guests may take a stroll through the gardens outside for enjoyment and exercise. The west household provides an access point to an outdoor butterfly habitat with shaded seating for residents.
