The Villas is a new multi-level campus set in Oceanside, CA on an eight acre site within the Mission San Luis Rey grounds. A fundamental ethic of the Franciscans is care for the elderly. For reasons of location, topography, a tranquil environment, and the comfort of nearby spiritual advisors, the development of this CCRC campus is extremely suitable and compatible with the Mission.
The project features two-story independent living and assisted living buildings and a one-story memory care building anchoring the corner entrance at Mission Avenue. Each care wing has a private courtyard with different features, including a pool and spa with trellises for outdoor seating.
One of the signature features is the Stations of the Cross pedestrian path circling the entire site around the buildings. The path will include 14 unique stations, each offering something different, such as art sculpture, exercise equipment, historical plaques/information, or rest areas.
